Can you believe it, I’ve been in Charleston for over THREE months. I’ve been settling into life here, learning the city, and getting my house, including my personal dance studio, in order.
One of the first iconic places I visited after moving to Charleston was the fishing pier on Folly Beach on James Island. We first saw the pier in in the spring while searching for our new home, and I thought it would be nice to revisit it while my family was in town.
My brother/photographer and I drove up to the beach before sunrise to snap a few shots of me in front of the waves in my new ruby costume. The wind was relentless! It almost claimed my silk veils once or twice.
