Valentine’s Day

Categories: Belly Dance

The legend of Valentine’s Day dates back to the middle ages, where Saint Valentine, who had been imprisoned for performing weddings, healed the daughter of his jailers. Before his execution he wrote her a letter and signed it “From your Valentine”, and thus the Valentine tradition was born. Today women want chocolates and jewelry in addition to the heartfelt letter or Hallmark Card, but what does a man want?

I say Belly Dance!

Learn to belly dance as a surprise for your sweetie. Not ready to debut as a dancer? Find a restaurant or venue that hosts a belly dancer for dinner. A live performance will get you both in the mood for romance. Music that alludes to hot desert nights will inspire you and your date.

The most romantic place I have danced for Valentine’s Day is ┬áChez Lulu, a French restaurant & bakery in English Village on Valentine’s Night.
