First performance with Hayat Al Raqs

After moving to West Virginia I began my search for new dancers to collaborate with.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This summer I joined Hayat Al Raqs, the belly dance collective in Pittsburgh, PA.

The diverse group of women have brought so much enthusiasm and energy to the local dance scene. This fall, under the direction of self described creative instigator, Yolanda, the collective performed at our first ever recital at Sterling Yoga.

Hayat Al Raqs quite literally means “dance life”. This dazzling dance collective is comprised of belly dancers from all over Pittsburgh, representing different styles of the dance form. They have an unyielding passion for belly dance, and love to share it with others, while encouraging forever-learning and self-expression.
